Meet Our Team

Dr. Kevin Otteson is a highly respected dentist with a rich family history in the medical field. Born and raised in Beaverton, Oregon, he grew up in a household deeply rooted in dental practice, with his father serving the community as a general dentist.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Dr. Otteson embarked on his own journey in the world of dentistry, beginning with his undergraduate studies in Zoology at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. His dedication and passion for the field were evident early on, leading him to graduate from Washington University in St. Louis in 1986 with his degree in dental medicine.

In 1987, Dr. Otteson established his own dental practice in Chandler, Arizona, where he has since been providing top-notch dental care to the community. With a strong commitment to excellence and a gentle touch, he has built a reputation as a trusted and compassionate practitioner.

Family is a central part of Dr. Otteson’s life. He shares his life with his beloved wife, Jody, and their three children, who have all chosen to follow in his footsteps in the dental field. His two sons are practicing dentists, while his daughter works as a hygienist, making the Otteson family a true dental dynasty.

Dr. Otteson’s older brother practices dentistry in Portland, Oregon, and his younger brother serves as a physician in New Mexico, further extending the family’s commitment to healthcare.

When he’s not in the office, Dr. Otteson is an avid outdoorsman with a particular love for water skiing, snow skiing, and mountain biking. His passion for the outdoors is a testament to his belief in living a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

With a legacy rooted in dental care, a family full of medical professionals, and a personal commitment to his patients’ well-being, Dr. Kevin Otteson is a pillar in his community, both as a dentist and as an individual.

Chalice graduated from the Rio Salado Dental Assisting program, joining our team in 2017. She makes sure that our patients receive the best possible care and that their fears are put at ease so that they can receive the care they need in comfort. She loves our patients and the relationships she has built with them, as well as the wonderful team she works with.

Chalice has two amazing daughters, a fiancé and a fur baby. She loves all things outdoors and enjoys being crafty and creative.

Karie attended the Rio Salado College Dental Hygiene Program, earning her Associate in Applied Science degree in 2016. She joined our team in December 2018 and is a great team player, working hard to educate her patients on their oral health, help them feel comfortable and provide them with quality care. Karie enjoys being part of a practice that works as a team to create an atmosphere that is welcoming, professional and caring.

Karie met her husband in dental hygiene school, and their blended family includes six children and four grandchildren!

Laura attended Arizona State University, graduation in 2012 with her Bachelor of Arts degree in communication. She joined our dental family in May 2019, and enjoys the positive atmosphere and family culture of our office. Laura works hard to make sure that each patient who visits us feels welcome and to keep our office organized and running smoothly. She loves working with people, helping them solve problems and assisting them in achieving better health.

Laura’s family is her greatest support in her life and career. When not in the office she enjoys cooking and spending quality time with her loved ones.

Lori attended the University of Southern Colorado for two years before graduating from Phoenix College with her degree in dental hygiene in 1987. She joined our office in March 1991 and regularly attends continuing education courses to stay up-to-date with the advances in treatments and patient care. Lori loves working with Dr. Otteson – he treats everyone as a valued team member and is honest and fair with both our team and our patients. Lori enjoys being part of a team that feels like family, and has grown alongside this practice over the years she has been here. Lori always enjoys coming to work and her goal is to make each of our patients feel as comfortable as possible so they can have a positive experience.

Nora graduated as a dental assistant from Gavilan College in 1994, and completed an extended dental assisting course at Pima Medical Institute in 2000. She joined our team in May 2010, bringing a big smile to hard situations and patiently working with people to understand their frustrations and care for their needs. Nora loves our team and the people she works with, and enjoys working alongside a doctor who is kind and respectful of others and who provides excellent care.

Nora lives for her kids, and is a proud mother to one daughter and one son. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, walking, bike riding and Latin dancing.

Pam attended Cerritos College in Norwalk, California, and practiced in California for five years before moving to Arizona in 2016. She joined our team in November 2021, bringing with her many years of clinical experience. She loves her patients and enjoys getting to know them as she helps them maintain and regain their smiles. Pam enjoys being part of a well-trained and caring team and loves that she was adopted into such as great dental family.

Pam has six grown children with families of their own, and her grandchildren are her joy in life. Outside the office she can be found playing pickleball or golf, and she loves to visit national parks and spend time outdoors.

Susan attended Apollo College, graduating in 1990, and joined our dental family in March 1994. She loves our patients and providing quality dental care and comfort to them, and loves being part of a team with a great, caring boss. Susan is always available to help set our patients at ease and help them understand their oral health needs, and works hard to keep our office well-stocked and running smoothly.

Susan has a daughter and a grandson, and has been married over nine years. Her hobbies including biking, running 5Ks and traveling.
